What do we do?

U3A stands for the University of the Third Age, which is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full-time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment.

Who can join?

Target Age Group(s): Membership of a U3A is open to all in their third age, which is defined not by a particular age but by a period in life in which full-time employment has ceased.
For Men and Women?: Yes

You must be a member of Hutton U3A to join in these activities.

Visit our website for a membership form or join at our monthly members’ meetings held on the 4th Monday of the month at St Peter’s Church Hall (except August and December). Additionally, we run about 40 activities mostly in our member’s homes.

When do we meet:

Family History – 2nd Monday in the month 2 to 4pm
History – 2nd Wednesday in the month from 8 to 9:30pm
Living Philosophy – 3rd Friday in the month 2 to 4pm
Photography – 3rd Tuesday in the month 2 to 4pm
Quiz – 1st Wednesday in the month from 7 to 9:30pm
Table Tennis – every Thursday from 7 to 8pm
Ukulele – 1st and 3rd Thursday in the month from 2 to 3:30pm

Cost of sessions:

£2 for Hutton Community Centre activities. Visitors to our monthly members’ meetings £2 (maximum of 2 visits). Annual membership £20. In addition, it is 40p for activities in member’s homes (for tea & coffee)
