Pilates with Dawn Taylor

What do we do

‘Tone your body with a fusion of Pilates and gentle body conditioning exercises in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with a qualified instructor.  The class focuses on posture, strength, toning, flexibility, balance & relaxation’.  Customers are encouraged to work at own level and the instructor offers various levels, adaptions, progressions for everybody to work at own pace. Lovely friendly atmosphere, and class members often stay and have a cuppa in the Centre’s cafe afterwards which is lovely.

Pilates with Dawn Taylor – currently runs 3 online (zoom) classes plus four in-person classes all held at Hutton Community Centre – as detailed below:

Wednesday 11 am – Small Hall

Thursday 10 am and 11.05 am – Meeting room 1 (adj to cafe)

Friday 11.15 am – Small Hall

Duration is for 55 mins and cost of session is £7.50 to be booked and paid in advance. (Class numbers are restricted to ensure social distancing).

Who can join?

*Adults (over 16).  Mixed ability.  Beginners and improvers welcome as a gentle class.

*Should note that anyone with serious health issues must seek medical clearance before undertaking any new exercise regime.  Post-natal ladies are required to have had 6-week check prior to attending or returning to classes (or 8-10 weeks if had a caesarean).

All new customers will be asked to complete a short medical screening form via email prior to undertaking the class so the instructor is aware of any alternative exercises/modifications/adaptions that may be required.

Once booked, please arrive a few minutes before class time so we can start promptly.

Cost of sessions:

£7.50 per session – payable in advance via BACS payment only (no drop-ins – as restricted numbers to adhere to social distancing).   Please bring your own mat (no spare mats available for health & hygiene reasons).  Wear comfortable clothing and either socks or barefoot.
